I like the highlights and shading on his shirt. Especially on the red side with the little bit of blue you put in there. Nicely done.

But now onto the pic; I LOVE IT YOU KNOW.
I love the coloring, painterly says it right I love the shading on his flesh, and how you used pale blue on the shirt to highlight. I really like how you captured his eyes and style.
Love the shirt concept, and the fishnets compliment the shirt well, and seem to bring out the red side.
Ohh and his hair! It looks like you did it with markers and gel pen for highlighting, I think you have real media-emulating techniques down.
He looks like he's happily asserting his opinion, or telling someone advice on something, and they already know, and he's just saying it to say it.

Wow, I didn't think you would like it THIS much. I was really worried that the clothes I put on him would be out of his style or something. I'm pretty terrible with dressing my own characters as it is.

I think it's kind of funny, but sad, that nearly every time I have made some cool highlighting effect, it's been by accident. I WILL WORK ON MAKING IT INTENTIONAL.

I couldn't tell this was digital (Henterly's class has it in my head right now as the ultimate compliment). Is it still inked traditionally?

I take it as a pretty high compliment, but I'm trying to emulate traditional media on the computer.

And yes, I did ink it traditionally. I still cannot ink on the computer for the life of me.
